magic win

The Serbian Olympic Committee has officially announced that Novak Djokovic will participate in this year’s Olympic Games in Paris. The tennis legend, who has won 24 Grand Slam titles, is set to make his fifth Olympic appearance. Djokovic first competed in the Olympics in 2008, where he secured a bronze medal.

At 37 years old, Djokovic recently underwent knee surgery following an injury sustained during a fourth-round victory at the French Open. This injury had put his participation in both Wimbledon and the Paris Games in jeopardy.

Currently ranked world number three, Djokovic aims to break his title drought in 2024. Despite winning three out of the four Grand Slams last year, he is still in pursuit of the elusive Olympic gold medal, a goal he hopes to achieve at the Paris Games, where he will face competition from Spain’s Rafa Nadal among others.

Joining Djokovic in representing Serbia is Dusan Lajovic, who is ranked 56th. The Olympic tennis tournament is scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 4 at Roland Garros.
