A hilarious video of a player making a fielding error during a cricket match has gone viral on social media. The video depicted the European Cricket League match between Independent Cricket Club and Donaustadt. Donaustad opted to bat first and scored 147/4 in 10 overs.Â
Later, they restricted Independent CC to 133/5 and won by 14 runs. However, the match’s highlight was a hilarious fielding error by a Donaustad fielder, who gifted a boundary to the opponents.
The incident occurred in the first over of the Independent’s chase when a bowler threw a wide ball that went between the wicketkeeper’s legs, but a fielder made his best effort to stop it just before the boundary line. “Craziest bit of cricket,” exclaimed the commentator.
During the process, he even crossed the advertisement boards placed outside the boundary. However, all of his efforts were in vain because he collided with the wicketkeeper as soon as he stood up to collect the ball. As a result, the ball fell from the fielder’s hands and crossed the boundary line.

The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 22 with the opening match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
According to the Times of India, a few BCCI officials are in the UAE to discuss the possibility of moving the second half of the IPL to the Gulf country.
The decision could be made because the dates of the General Elections may clash with the second half of the IPL. The Election Commission is expected to announce the election date on Saturday, March 16.
“The Election Commission of India will announce the election schedule on Saturday at 3 p.m. Following that, the BCCI will decide whether it should relocate to Dubai. A few top BCCI officials are currently in Dubai to discuss the possibility of hosting the second half of the IPL,” a BCCI official told TOI.
