magic win

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya delivered an impressive performance with both bat and ball as India, led by Rohit Sharma, defeated Bangladesh in the first T20I in Gwalior on Sunday. Hardik scored an unbeaten 39 off just 16 balls and took 1/26 with the ball, emerging as India’s top performer. While fans and experts praised him, former Indian pacer RP Singh cautioned against reading too much into this performance, considering the opposition.

“Judging anyone’s form based on a game against Bangladesh isn’t the best approach. The way they’re playing right now, they’re not at the highest level,” RP Singh said, speaking as an expert for Jio Cinema.

He added, “Hardik played well and he’s capable of such performances, but I don’t think we should use this match as a measure of his progress. It’s better to assess him against stronger teams or tougher competitions.”

RP Singh also praised Hardik’s contribution as a bowler, pointing out that it was a good sign that he bowled his full four-over quota, which had been a question in the past. He noted that while Hardik’s batting has always been strong, his bowling and fitness have shown significant improvement. However, Singh stressed that it’s too early to get excited, as tougher challenges lie ahead.
