magic win

Pramod Bhagat, an Indian para-badminton player, staged a remarkable comeback on Sunday to win gold at the World Para-Badminton Championships. Pramod defeated Daniel Bethell of the United Kingdom 14-21, 21-15, 21-14 (2:1) to win the medal in the MS SL3 final, which lasted one hour and 40 minutes.

In the semifinals, the ace shuttler defeated India’s Manoj Sarkar in a three-set thriller. The match lasted 75 minutes, with the first set going down to the wire, and Pramod eventually defeated Manoj.

The second set, like the first, had nothing to distinguish between the two and was taken by Manoj. The last and final decider came down to the wire, with nothing separating the two athletes, and Pramod eventually beat Manoj to secure his spot in the finals. The final score was 23-21, 20-22, and 21-18.

Earlier in the day, Suhas Yathiraj and Krishna Nagar won gold medals in separate matches. Suhas won the gold medal in the Side Lower (SL) 4 final by defeating Indonesia’s Fredy Setiawan in straight games, while Krishna won the SH6 final against Lin Naili in a nail-biting 22-20, 22-20 thriller.

However, Manisha Ramadass was defeated in the final of the Side Upper (SU) 5 title on Sunday by Yang Qiu Xia of China, 16-21, 16-21.
